Mattress stains: types, treatment, and real results

Sweat, blood, urine, mold... Each stain needs a different product. We explain which ones come out, which reduce, and which are permanent.

Why does a mattress get stained?

Every night your body releases sweat, body oils, and dead cells. All of it passes through the sheet and accumulates in the mattress. Add accidents: spills, blood, urine. Over time, stains oxidize and set into the fiber.

When should you clean mattress stains?

Not all stains need immediate professional cleaning. But there are cases where acting quickly makes a real difference.

How we treat mattress stains

Protocol tailored to each stain type

1

Stain assessment

We identify each stain by its source and age. A fresh blood stain is treated with enzymes. A mold stain needs biocide. Applying the wrong product can set the stain.

2

Zone-by-zone pre-treatment

Each stain gets its specific product and dwell time. Oxidized sweat stains need more time than recent ones. You can't treat everything the same.

3

Extraction and sanitization

With injection-extraction, we remove dirt residue from inside the mattress. Dark water comes out even from mattresses that appear clean. The result is visible and immediate.

Why not clean it yourself?

Results you can expect

Not all stains disappear

Recent sweat, urine, and coffee stains come out in most cases. Old dried blood stains reduce significantly but may leave a faint shadow. Extensive mold stains are treated, but if the mattress fiber is damaged, the mark remains. And if someone has poured bleach on a blood stain, it's probably irreversible. We tell you before charging anything.

Types of mattress stains we treat

Each stain has its difficulty level

Sweat stains (yellow)

The most common. Oxidized sweat accumulated over months. Come out well with active oxygen and extraction, even old ones.

Blood stains

Fresh ones are fully removed with enzymatic treatment. Dried, old ones improve significantly but may leave a shadow on light fabrics.

Urine stains

Children, elderly, or pets. We remove the stain and odor. Uric acid needs specific enzymes, not bleach (which sets it).

Mold stains

Black or green spots indicating excess humidity. We remove mold with biocide, but if humidity persists, it will return. The cause must be addressed.

Coffee or drink stains

Generally come out well if not previously treated with products that set the dye. If you've already applied something, tell us what it was.

Unknown origin stains

Sometimes you don't know what it is. We evaluate on-site and apply the most likely protocol. If it doesn't come out 100%, we tell you.
